The Father

Once, my pal JR and I were booked to film a 16mm music video for a friend's band. For reasons unknown, the band cancelled on the day of the shoot. I had a new song of my own laying around, so rather than waste precious time with the camera equipment we decided to film a video for that instead.

We lucked a location that had a baby grand piano and I wore my favourite second-hand suit jacket. JR shot it solo using available light. Later, our friend Matt helped film some additional shots at various churches around Melbourne and I filmed a series of time lapse sequences to fill things out a bit. A textural little piece that should never have been.
